It’s the next one on from the series 2100 and offers a few little extras that you might like, for starters it looks better and it comes with a nifty charging stand, anything that makes life easier is much appreciated right?

Always have the docking/charging system close by, just drop it in there after each shave and you are ready to go each and every morning.

Just like its predecessor it takes a whopping 8 hours to fully charge but it does give a little more shaving time at 40 minutes per full battery.

The pop up trimmer is a really nice feature that makes keeping your moustache and side burns in trim and looking funky super easy.

This one has a better battery than the previous model being a Lithium-Ion battery, meaning shaving will not deteriorate due to poor battery charge.

The shaver can be used plugged in or cordless, if you want a quick shave you one have to charge it for 3 minutes, everyone has 3 minutes to spare in the morning don’t they.

Men’s electric shavers need to be easy to clean, this one will not let you down in this department, just rinse under the tap and you are good to go.

Again shaving heads have to be replaced every 12 months, other brands don’t need to be changed as often, I think this is a little conservative and you will be okay changing at around 18 months or even longer if you do not use the shaver that often.

The shave time is rather impressive off just a 1 hour charge, some have to charge for 8 hours to get this amount of usage. For just a 1 hour charge you get a massive 65 minutes shaving time.

I mean why have three blades when you can have four and get the job done a whole lot faster. The foil actually curves outwards which gets incredibly close to the skin, it does give a very good close shave this one.

This one too does have a trimmer incorporated into the device, you just slide it up and you are good to trim baby. The shaver has an LED charging indicator to tell you when the battery is running on low.

New foils are quite expensive and are nearly half the price of the shaver itself, they do last a long time so it’s just better to buy a new shaver when they get to the end of their lifespan. The foils will last around 2 years, sometimes even longer.

A small negative, which might well put many people off this particular shaver is the fact that it can only be used cordless, if you want cord and cordless then this is not the one for you.

The shaver itself does hold charge very well and even if you shave every day it should last you nearly two weeks before you have to charge up again.

This is the lazy man’s shaver, all you have to do to clean it is touch a button. The shaver will clean, lubricate, dry and even charge itself by pressing this lovely button.

The shaver feels like it vibrates more than any other shaver that I have ever had, it therefore has no problems shaving those problem areas around the neck and under the nose.

I should also point out that this is a foil shaver and that just like all the others has a built in trimmer to help you trim your longer hair as short as you require it.

The shaver is also waterproof and has an LED display that not only tells you when it needs charging but also when it needs to be cleaned.

For the self cleaning system to work the shaver has cartridges in the side which need to be replaced on a regular basis, many will not want this extra cost. However, you do not need to use this function, you can just rinse it under the tap to keep it clean.

I also have it very good authority that this shaver is perfect for shaving your head too. If you have a bigger budget then don’t be put off by the price, this shaver would be a lot further up the list had it not been so much more expensive than the other shavers.

It just goes to prove that you do not have to spend a lot of money to get a good electric shaver. Many customers state that it is well worth the money, I do too.

So what’s on offer for the extra bucks? You get those extra functions that we have talked about and it looks good, the shave is a little better too in some circumstances.

The unit is not overly loud, however there are quieter shavers out there. A big bonus is the fact that it is so easy to keep hold of when you have wet hands, no chance of dropping this one.

If time is an issue then you might want to stay away from this one, it does not work as quick as some of the others listed above, especially on three day old beards.

These shavers can be used and have been used by many to shave their head too. It’s not the cheapest shaver out there but it certainly covers all bases, it is well worth the money.

A small drawback here, you can’t use the shaver when it is plugged in, it can only be used cordless. There is no length adjustments either, so you can’t maintain three day old stubble unless you get proficient at using the trimmer.

Comes with a neat little travel pouch too for when you go on your holidays. It also has a safety lock, will stop the shaver going off while it is in your suitcase.

The shaving power will not reduce when the battery goes down either, it will remain strong and give a good shave right up until it needs recharging.

One major bad point with most Panasonic shavers is that the batteries can’t be replaced, you are going to have to buy a new shaver when the battery dies I am afraid to say.

As you can see the head area is quite large making it rather difficult to shave around the nose area, which is why this shaver is so low down on the list. Some have to use other shavers to do this area, which isn’t very good.

The good news is that you do not need to oil the blades and it works really well at shaving your head having such a large shaving surface area, it works better than most skull shavers.
